KEY RECORD

1933 - 1934

In 1933 and 1934, a British record label was created exclusively for Selfridges. The music selections for this label were curated by Christopher Stone, often recognized as Britain's pioneering "disc jockey." Decca was responsible for pressing the records, which utilized masters also accessible on Panachord and Winner.

The catalog was relatively modest, with fewer than 30 releases, and many artists opted to use pseudonyms to maintain anonymity.
