OMAR

1930s - 1940s

OMAR discs were essentially British Vocalion records with labels placed on top. There has been speculation that these were old U.K. stock disposed of in Australia. However, it's worth noting that Vocalion did have a branch in Australia, and one side of the disc bears an Australian Copyright stamp. Therefore, it is probable that these discs were sold locally by the Australian branch rather than being outdated U.K. stock.
