STAN-LEE

1944 - 1945

Stan-Lee Records (Lee & Roth Enterprises) operated in New York City in 1944–1945, from 1697 Broadway, New York, NY. It was launched by songwriters Seymour Lee (secretary-treasurer) and David Roth (president & sales manager).

Trade coverage at the time described the label as focusing on small “cocktail combo” pop sides; by March 1945, Billboard noted a backlog of unreleased discs due to pressing bottlenecks, and the operation appears to have closed later that year.
