GILT-EDGE

1944 - 1946

Gilt-Edge records was founded in Los Angeles, U.S., in 1944 and was used for the release of so called race records.
The majority of these were recorded by blues singer and pianist Cecil Gant, but the catalogue also included recordings of Wingy Manone.

By March 1946 the label had been discontinued and the proprietor Richard Nelson transferred the remaining artists and repertory to his label 4 Star Records.
