Det Danske Selskab
1940 - 1989
"Det Danske Selskab" (The Danish Society) was founded in 1940 by Folmer Wisti with the goal of promoting international understanding through information about Denmark and cultural exchange, ideas, and experiences between Denmark and other countries. In 1989, the organization changed its name to "Det Danske Kulturinstitut" (The Danish Cultural Institute), which it is known as today.
The organization had branches in several countries, including Zurich, Switzerland. It is unclear, however, if "Det Danske Selskab" operated as a traditional record label. A discography exists for "Det Danske Selskab – Det Danske Kulturinstitut," indicating that they published music, but it may not have been in the capacity of a conventional record label.
