Artone’s historical connection to Long Island City involves the Berg Auto Trunk & Specialty Company. This company, also known as Artone, was located in the American Chicle Building in Long Island City, New York, as of 1926.
In addition to producing loudspeakers, which they were listed for in the August 1926 McGraw-Hill Radio Trade Catalog, they also sold portable and floor model phonographs, as well as reproducers in 1927.
