HISTORY

The company G. Ballu & Cie, based at 1, rue Andrieux in Paris, registered the name Aérophone in February 1909, for the production of talking machines and all accessories (discs, cylinders, spare parts).
“G” stands for Guillaume. Guillaume Ballu was an industrialist by profession, who embarked on a political career in the 1920s.

Like most gramophone producers, the company also produced discs to bring customers to their machines, or to be sold with their machines, or any other brand.
